Baotou Rewin Rare Earth Metal Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter Company) is registered and established in August 21 ， 2002 which is ratified by Inner Mongolia Industrial and Commercial Bureau. The company is co-sponsored by Ruike Rare Earth Metallurgical and Functional Materials National Engineering Research Center Co., Ltd., Inner Mongolia Baogang Rare Earth Hi-tech Corporation, China Mechanics and Electronics Export Products Investment Corporation, Baotou Research Institute of Rare Earth. Baotou Iron & Steel Corporation takes the absolute proprietary in the total registered capitals of 4.88 million Yuan RMB.
The company sets up five light rare earth metal producing factories, power equipment maintenance factories, technical center and manufacturing factory of 10KA rare earth molten salt electrolysis whole equipment. This makes the company forming a complete research and producing operation system including the development of rare earth pyro-metallurgy process and equipment, and the manufacturing of functional materials-used rare earth metals and alloys.
Now its business covers the research, producing and sales of individual rare earth metals, special rare earth alloys, rare earth metal materials, rare earth application products and relevant set equipment; manufacturing and sale of relevant chemical materials (excluding license products) and metal materials (excluding license products) and import and export of relevant products and instrument; rare earth technology consulting and transfer. The main products are produced by using the company's own patent property “10 KA molten salt electrolysis cell for rare earth metal and alloy”.
The company now has a staff of 300 members including 18 senior engineers and 14 engineers. Its main products cover neodymium metal and praseodymium alloy with annual production capacity of 5000 ton; It is expected that the capacity will increase to 8000 ton per year and market share up to 50% ranking the first in the rare earth line. Moreover, the company is also able to produce some medium heavy rare earth metals and alloys like Dy metal, Gd metal, Tb metal and Dy-Fe alloy etc.
The company is authorized as the Inner Mongolia New and Hi-tech enterprise owning the Inner Mongolia Rare Earth High Temperature Technology Metallurgy Engineering Research Center and the qualification of export license. Now it has been identified by ISO2001:9000 Quality Management System and GB/T24001-2004 GB/T28001-2001 Environment and Professional Health and security Management System.
The company has two holding companies Baotou Ruihe Metal Materials Company (Sino-Germany Joint venture) and Baotou Ruida Rare Earth Materials Company.
